Flora · Kasrah
Flora helps you reflect on your day through voice journaling. We do not require an account. Your journal entries, color and emotion tags, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you enable daily reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Who we are

What the app does
Flora lets you record short voice reflections, tag them with a color and emotion, and review how you have felt over time on a calendar. It is a personal reflection tool—not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek help from a qualified professional.
Data we collect
We collect littledata, and it stays on your device. Kasrah does not operate backend servers for Flora's core features.
- Account, name, or email — Not collected. No login is required.
- Journal entries (voice recordings, color and emotion tags, dates) — Stored on your device for your personal log and calendar view.
- App settings (haptics, reminder time, preferences) — Stored on your device.
- Health data (HealthKit), location, contacts, or photos — Not collected. Flora does not use HealthKit, camera, or background tracking.
There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no social features in Flora. There is no cloud sync of your journal content.
Third-party services
The following services may process limited data when you use related features:
- Apple App Store — if you purchase Flora Plus when it becomes available, payment is processed by Apple. Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple notification services — if you enable daily reminders, Flora schedules local notifications on your device. We do not send notification content to our servers.
Permissions
- Microphone — used only to record your voice journal entries. Recordings stay on your device and are not uploaded to Kasrah servers.
- Notifications (optional) — for a daily journaling reminder at a time you choose. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings. If you deny permission at the system level, the in-app toggle reflects that.
- Haptics — vibration feedback when enabled. No data is collected.
Children's privacy
Flora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Data retention and deletion
Your journal entries, color and emotion tags, and preferences remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Uninstalling Flora removes local history, settings, and recordings from that device.
Security
App data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). We do not transmit your journal content to Kasrah servers.
International users
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or similar regions: we rely on your consent for optional notifications. Because journal data stays on your device, access and deletion are primarily achieved by uninstalling the app or clearing app data. We do not transfer your journal content across borders.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Flora after changes means you accept the updated policy.
