Safa · Kasrah
Safa helps you practice guided breathing exercises. We do not require an account. Your preferences, custom patterns, and session history (Safa Plus) are stored locally on your device. If you purchase Safa Plus, payment is processed by Apple and purchase status is verified through RevenueCat. If you enable daily reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Who we are

What the app does
Safa guides you through timed breathing patterns for relaxation and focus. It is a general wellness tool—not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a healthcare professional before starting any breathing practice if you have a medical condition.
Data we collect
We collect little data, and most of it never leaves your device. Kasrah does not operate backend servers for Safa's core features.
- Account, name, or email — Not collected. No login is required.
- Breathing session history (pattern, duration, date) — Collected for Safa Plus users only, stored on your device for your personal log.
- App settings (haptics, reminder time, preferences) — Stored on your device.
- Safa Plus purchase status — Stored on your device and verified through Apple and RevenueCat to unlock features.
- Health data (HealthKit), location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone — Not collected. Safa does not use HealthKit or background tracking.
There are no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no social features in Safa.
Third-party services
The following services may process limited data when you use related features:
- Apple App Store — processes payment for the one-time Safa Plus purchase. Apple Privacy Policy

- Apple notification services — if you enable daily reminders, Safa schedules local notifications on your device. We do not send notification content to our servers.
Purchases and payments
Safa Plus is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (safa_plus_lifetime). Payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store. Safa never receives, stores, or has access to your payment card or billing details. There is no recurring billing. Restore purchases uses your Apple account and RevenueCat to re-apply the unlock on a new device.
Permissions
- Notifications (optional) — for a daily breathing reminder at a time you choose. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings. If you deny permission at the system level, the in-app toggle reflects that.
- Haptics — vibration on breathing phase changes when enabled. No data is collected.
Children's privacy
Safa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Data retention and deletion
Your preferences, custom patterns, and session history remain on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Uninstalling Safa removes local history, settings, and custom patterns. Purchase restore is handled through Apple and RevenueCat, not on Kasrah servers.
Security
App data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). Purchases are secured by Apple's payment systems.
International users
If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or similar regions: we process purchase data to fulfill your Safa Plus transaction (contractual necessity) and rely on your consent for optional notifications. Because most data stays on your device, access and deletion are primarily achieved by uninstalling the app. We do not transfer your breathing data across borders; any cross-border processing related to purchases is handled by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of Safa after changes means you accept the updated policy.
